Every employee of Kessel Construction is committed to executing each building project that Kessel undertakes to the best of their abilities.  Everyone is aware of the importance placed on “satisfying the customer.”  Our knowledge and experience in the construction industry allows us to design your building to fit your needs and to meet your expectations.  It is our sincere desire to insure that each job is done right.

You can have peace of mind in the fact that your building will be built by skilled craftsmen trained to rigorous industry standards.  All field employees receive the required OSHA annual training to insure a safe and productive work site.  In addition to required training, the top three levels of field employee management receive a mandatory (by Kessel Management Policies) ten hour OSHA Safety & Health Training Course conducted by certified instructors.  Non-mandatory employees participate in the additional training course on a voluntary basis.

Our Employees Value

The Kessel team has been serving the construction industry for 75 years.

WHO’S WHO at Kessel

Around the Office

ann & dick

  • CEO
  • Treasurer

Richard "Dick" Kessel and his wife, Ann are the second generation of the Kessel family.  Dick began his career at the age of 18 working for his father as a laborer.  He eventually worked his way from the field to the office and in 1974 took the reins of the company.  Now Dick plays an integral role in the company as CEO. Dick’s philosophy about Kessel’s work is that the only good building is one in which the owner and Kessel are equally proud.

  • President

Tim has been involved with Kessel Construction since 1996.  He began his career by managing a Kessel office in Erie, PA where his duties included office administration, sales, and marketing.  His expertise lies in new customer development.  He has developed a reputation for bringing difficult parties and complex projects together.  Tim is an extremely active member of the community and currently serves on board for the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce, Southern Tier Builders Association, and UPB Business Affairs Council.

  • Sales Territory Manager

Steve has been with Kessel Construction since 1997.  As a Territory Manager he handles many aspects of the sales process including project evaluation, estimating, proposal writing, sales presentations, and customer relations.  His expertise lies with large, complicated projects and he has recently been involved with some very specialized concrete pits and foundations for equipment in the oil & gas and metal manufacturing industries.  Steve is involved with his projects from conception through completion.

  • Sales Territory Manager

Clark has been involved with Kessel Construction for over 10 years. In his current role as Territory Manager he handles territory strategy, estimating, proposal writing, sales presentations, and customer relations. His experience spans from starting “in the ditch” to project management, clerking, and all aspects of commercial and industrial construction.  He is a recognized expert in developing larger projects such as car dealerships, churches, and office buildings.

  • Project Manager

Jim started at Kessel in 1978 as a laborer and climbed the ladder to become general superintendent of field operations.  Jim is currently a project manager and expertly coordinates all aspects of Kessel's top jobs.  He has nearly 40 years of experience with concrete work, concrete placement, and construction coordination.  Jim is also a member of the American Concrete Institute.

  • Project Developer

Al has been with Kessel for over 20 years, and is involved in the development of projects for the sales team. He has over 30 years of experience with industrial and construction projects in building design, cost estimates, proposals and the production of construction documents. Al performs special projects as the need arises. He is also our Safety Compliance Officer and is a strong advocate for safety on the job site.

  • HR Manager

Margie has many hats at Kessel Construction.  Aside from being the pleasant voice you hear when calling the office, Margie will also be sure everyone is compensated in a timely manner.  She keeps things moving smoothly with every job by staying on top of purchase orders, subcontractor agreements, project scheduling, and training requirements.  I think it's safe to say the office wouldn't run as smoothly without her.

  • Controller

Although having been at Kessel for a short time, Tina has proven her knowledge of accounting is just what a busy construction company needs.  Handling all the numbers that come along with construction jobs is a very tedious job but Tina does it well and then offers her assistance with other areas as well.  Tina utilizes Sage software to accurately document all aspects of a job from estimating to final billing.
